Punta Cana Excursions & Tours
We are based in Bayahibe and most of our excursions and tours depart from this fishermen village. A number of excursions are available for guests from the Punta Cana resorts. A tour to one of the islands of the National Park Del Este involve a taxi transfer of +- 1.5 hours to Bayahibe (excl. the Safari and Whale Expedition). The transfer takes you through the country side and through some villages, interesting... From 2012 the new high way will shorten the fare to +- 60 minutes. We organize the transfers in 10 person minibuses. This means that we avoid the long resort to resort transport to collect all the guests. Our taxis are fully licensed and insured.
The transfer from Punta Cana is offered against an additional fee of $25pp. This means that you have to add $25pp to the tour price. The Saona Crusoe VIP comes to $109pp, this includes the round trip transfer. The 2 Island tour is $124pp including the transfers. Please look at the price list for the other excursions. The payment is in cash (us$, Euro, Pesos) on arrival in Bayahibe, we don't require a deposit. If you for some reason have to cancel the tour, you will not loose any money. Bear in mind that if you don't show up in the morning, it will cost us money for the taxi we send to your hotel and for the food packed on the boats. And we can't fill the seats anymore.... Please, let us know asap when you can't join.
Group arrangement:
We offer private boat charters for groups. Obviously anything is possible, but especially for groups we have developed a tour that combines the main attractions of the Nacional Parque and has something for everybody.  2 Island - 2 Ocean Tour: this is the ultimate snorkel tour to the small island of Catalinita and to Saona. When lucky we will have a close encounter with a reef shark and we will see some giant sting rays. If you like adventure and snorkeling this is the tour for you....
 Jungle Eco Tour: This is a brand new tour for our guests in Punta Cana. The National Park de Este near Bayahibe is well know for the off shore Islands of Saona, Catalinita and Catalina, but the park itself is virtually un-explored. This tour includes an easy hike through the jungle and a river cruise through the gorge of the river Chavon....
 Rio Chavon Special: With this excursion you explore the River Chavon on a traditional river boat, we spend time on our river side farm, we visit the sugar cane areas, villages and we conclude with a Dominican Dance Spectacle: bachata, merengue, reggaeton, salsa and real pole-dancing....
 Truck Safari Punta Cana: This is also a new tour for our guests in Punta Cana. If you want to experience the real Dominican Culture and life join this trip. We visit a rum factory, an artisan cigar factory and peek into the houses of the locals....
 Punta Cana Whale Watching: between 15 January and the end of March the bay of Samana is visited by thousands of Humpback Whales to breed and give young. Our excursion takes you close to these magnificent mammals. We have an expert guide and the whole trip is well balanced. On the way to Miches we'll cross some spectacular mountain ranges and on the way back you have the opportunity for some shopping outside the tourist areas...
 Saona Classic Catamaran: You can sail the Caribbean on a custom 70 foot sailing catamaran. There are fully equipped bathrooms, an open bar and dance floor on board. The catamaran takes up to 80 people. The way back is per speedboat with a stop in the piscina natural....
