Punta Cana Excursions & Tours
We are based in Bayahibe and most of our excursions and tours depart from this fishermen village. A number of excursions are available for guests from the Punta Cana resorts. A tour to one of the islands of the National Park Del Este involves a taxi transfer of +- 55 minutes to Bayahibe (excl. the Safari and Whale Expedition). The transfer takes you through the country side... We organize the transfers in 10 person minibuses. This means that we avoid the long resort to resort transport to collect all the guests. Our taxis are fully licensed and insured.
The transfer from Punta Cana is offered against an additional fee of $25pp, unless mentioned otherwise. For some excursions you have to add $25pp to the tour price. The Saona Crusoe VIP comes to $110pp, this includes the round trip transfer. The 2 Island tour is $124pp including the transfers. Please look at the price list for the other excursions. The payment is in cash (us$, Euro, Pesos) on arrival in Bayahibe, we don't require a deposit. If you for some reason have to cancel the tour, you will not loose any money. Bear in mind that if you don't show up in the morning, it will cost us money for the taxi we send to your hotel and for the food packed on the boats. And we can't fill the seats anymore.... Please, let us know asap when you can't join.
Group arrangement:
We offer private boat charters for groups. Obviously anything is possible, but especially for groups we have developed a tour that combines the main attractions of the Nacional Parque and has something for everybody. 2 Island - 2 Ocean Tour:
This is the ultimate snorkel tour for guests of the Punta Cana and Bavaro hotels to the small island of Catalinita and to Saona. When lucky we will have a close encounter with a reef shark and we will see some giant sting rays. If you like adventure and snorkeling this is the excursion for you....

Tanama Wonders of Nature Tour:
When you visit Punta Cana or Bayahibe, or your cruise ship docks at La Romana you don't want to miss this... Tanama River Day:
The Tanama River Day is a full day on, in and around the river Chavon. The Wonders of Nature Tour, with the fabulous river cruise, is included and we have a great guided tour along the attractions on the river bank property. We'll visit the local community of Santa Cruz de Gato, where we experience the traditional Dominican lifestyle. We'll lunch at the famous jungle restaurant of 'El Indio'. We'll visit Yuca Yena, the small jungle farm on the banks of the river, with a fruit trail and a canoe adventure... and for the less active: you can relax in the jacuzzi with marvelous river views ... nature, culture and fun combined ....

Jungle Eco Tour:
This excursion is for our guests in Punta Cana and Bavaro. The National Park de Este near Bayahibe is well know for the off shore Islands of Saona, Catalinita and Catalina, but the park itself is virtually un-explored. This excursion includes an easy hike through the jungle and a river cruise through the gorge of the river Chavon. Very special is the swim in the lake inside a deep cave.....

Punta Cana Whale Watching:
Between 15 January and mid April the bay of Samana is visited by thousands of Humpback Whales to breed and give birth. Our excursion takes you close to these magnificent mammals. We have an expert guide and the whole trip is well balanced. On the way to Miches we'll cross some spectacular mountain ranges and on the way back you have the opportunity for some shopping outside the tourist areas...
